Havila Biogass is dedicated to transforming biogas into a valuable and sustainable energy source. The objective was to establish an upgrading solution capable of processing up to 1,200 Nm³/h of raw biogas while delivering high-quality biomethane for downstream applications.
The challenge was to maximize methane recovery and minimize energy losses in a solution that is both reliable and future-ready.
The solution was a containerized gas upgrading plant from NISSEN energy a/s, based on advanced three-stage membrane technology. The system upgrades 1,200 Nm³/h of raw biogas into approximately 800 Nm³/h of upgraded biomethane.
The project supports the continued advancement of sustainable energy production and demonstrates how advanced membrane technology can contribute to higher resource efficiency and lower emissions. As demand for renewable energy continues to grow, efficient biogas upgrading solutions are becoming increasingly important.
